Abstract (may include machine translation)
The study deals with requests for abortion and the often changing legal and policy environment. Low-level legislation, often not even reaching the most affected, has created uncertainty and unpredictability. Changing interpretations have led to a variety of tightening and relaxation. It was in these circumstances that women seeking abortions struggled to justify their requests on various grounds. It is from this perspective that the study analyses the evolution of abortion between 1954 and 1980, including changes in legislation that have received little attention in the domestic literature. Several layers of paternalism are described in the study, partly through the analysis of legislation, partly through the analysis of the materials of abortion committees and gynaecological chapters.
