Vélemény Magyarország alaptörvényéről

A Vélemény Magyarország Alaptörvényéről című dokumentumot magyar alkotmányjogászok készítették az Európa Tanács Velence Bizottsága számára, amely napirendjére tűzte az új magyar alkotmány kérdését. A Vélemény szerzői azt állítják, hogy az Alaptörvény előkészítése az ország életét hosszú távon meghatározó dokumentumtól elvárt politikai, szakmai és társadalmi vita elemi alkotmányos és házszabályi előírásának hiányában, gyakorlatilag kizárólag a kormánypártok képviselőinek közreműködésével ment végbe, tartalma pedig számos tekintetben nem felel meg a demokratikus jogállamiság követelményének és az Európai Unióról szóló Szerződésben foglalt alapértékeknek.

The document entitled Opinion on the Constitution of Hungary was prepared by Hungarian constitutional lawyers for the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe, which put the issue of the new Hungarian constitution on its agenda.
