Abstract (may include machine translation)
The article reviews how Hungary, once an eminent member of the club in field of asylum, made a U-turn and became the renegade, who destroys its own asylum system and threatens the EU-wide mechanism with blocking measures of solidarity. It analyses the normative and the practical collisions between the EU-acquis and the domestic law and practice and deals with the clash of values between the Orbán government and the EU. The undermining of the solidarity within the EU and resisting the EU enforcement actions, including the CJEU judgment by Hungary are also critically presented.
