Abstract (may include machine translation)

On Sunday 16 September 2001, in the wake of the attack on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, Michael Enright, on the CBC Radio program The Sunday Edition, spoke with four leading thinkers about the tragedy. They explored what it says about the nature of human evil and what it portends for the near and long-term future of our civilization. This is an edited account of their conversation.
