Abstract (may include machine translation)

With Rationed Life, Rudolf Kučera, permanent researcher at the Masaryk Institute and Archives of the Czech Academy of Sciences, suggests a new way to look at the experiences of the working class during the First World War. Drawing on a large variety of sources in both Czech and German, he looks at the period from the angle of the re-organization of work, consumption and daily life of workers and their families in the Bohemian lands.
