    Abstract (may include machine translation)

The Archaeolingua Foundation, in cooperation with the Cultural Heritage Studies Programme of the Central European University, organised and ran a masterclass on archaeological heritage between November 2015 and February 2016. This was the first masterclass of its kind in Hungary, although the approach and knowledge implied by the title have become part of archaeological practice at international level. The invited speakers of the Masterclass were internationally renowned European representatives of the profession, who presented the applications of digital technologies in archaeology and heritage conservation from their own research fields. The aim of this publication is to provide an overview of the state of the art in archaeological research and the issues raised by the central theme of the Masterclass, namely the integrated use of advanced technologies in archaeology and heritage conservation. In the first part, we provide extended abstracts of the presentations, accompanied by illustrations - some of which are published for the first time - and a selection of images taken at the events. In the second part, we have collected representative material from Hungarian experts and teams working in the same fields to show how these Hungarian projects contribute to the archaeological application of digital technologies.
