Abstract (may include machine translation)

Political science already accepted the joint role of nature and nurture in forming political attitudes and behavior. Lately, behavior genetics exploded in political science creating a whole sub-field devoted to the topic. The chapter summarizes its methodological foundations, its most important assumptions and the related methodological problems. The chapter continues by presenting the findings these studies produced. Then the chapter finishes by turning to the contemporary challenges the sub-field faces and by providing some suggestions to the related scholarship.
