Uitz Renáta először az Emberi Jogok Európai Bíróságának az Oliari Olaszország elleni ügyben hozott döntését elemzi, amely az azonos nemű párok élettársai kapcsolatát érinti, majd az amerikai legfelső bíróságnak az Obergefell ügyben hozott döntését kommentálja, melynek tárgya az azonos nemű párok házasságkötéshez való joga volt.
Renáta Uitz starts with the analysis of the Oliari v. Italy case decided by the European Court of Human Rights concerning the registered partnership of same sex couples, then turns to the decision of the US Supreme Court delivered in its Obergefell case on the right to marriage of same sex couples. Th e author points out the most important similarities and diff erences of the two judgments, and draws the most relevant conclusions fl owing from them.
