Das Pressburger Protocollum Testamentorum 1410 (1427)-1529: 1410-1487

Vorliegende Publikation enthält den ersten Teil des ältesten Protocollum Testamentorum aus Preßburg (Bratislava), dessen Original im Stadtarchiv Preßburg (Archív mesta Bratislavy) liegt und insgesamt 844 Eintragungen aus dem Zeitraum zwischen 1410 und 1529 umfasst. Bei den Einträgen, von welchen hier die ersten 449 bis zum Jahr 1487 präsentiert werden, handelt es sich fast ausschließlich um letztwillige Verfügungen. Mit der Herausgabe des Protocollum kann dem Fachpublikum eine aufschlussreiche und für die mittelalterliche Geschichte des Karpatenbeckens seltene Quelle zugänglich gemacht werden, zumal Testamente in den letzten Jahren zunehmend in den Fokus des Forschungsinteresses geraten sind. Die Edition ermöglicht eine Einordnung der Quelle in den internationalen Kontext. Im Vergleich mit anderen Bürgertestamenten aus dem deutschsprachigen Raum wird die Forschung hinkünftig in der Lage sein, Parallelen und Abweichungen sichtbar zu machen.

This publication contains the first part of the oldest Protocollum Testamentorum from Bratislava, the original of which is in the Bratislava City Archives (Archív mesta Bratislavy) and comprises a total of 844 entries from the period between 1410 and 1529. The entries, of which the first 449 up to the year 1487 are presented here, are almost exclusively testamentary dispositions. With the publication of the Protocollum, an informative and rare source for the medieval history of the Carpathian Basin can be made accessible to the specialised public, especially as wills have increasingly become the focus of research interest in recent years. The edition enables the source to be categorised in an international context. By comparing it with other wills from German-speaking countries, researchers will be able to identify parallels and differences.
