Bármikor kidurranhatnak a fideszes lufik

A kormány látványos sikerként könyveli el a magyar gazdaság tavalyi évét, az ideiről pedig azt mondja: kiegyensúlyozott és fenntartható pálya mentén dinamikusan bővülhet, s látóhatáron belülre kerülhet a teljes foglalkoztatottság. Bod Péter Ákos és Csaba László közgazdászprofesszorok azonban úgy látják, bár valóban vannak olyan gazdasági mutatók, amelyek a folyamatok együtthatásából kiemelve, önmagukban kommunikálva kifejezetten jól mutatnak, és az is igaz, hogy sok magyar erőn felül teljesít, már idén is vannak kockázatai a növekedésnek. Hosszabb távon pedig a kiegyensúlyozott és fenntartható gazdasági pálya inkább csak remény, mintsem megalapozott várakozás. A nagy hitelminősítőknél Magyarország adósbesorolása azon a szinten van, ahol Horn Gyula miniszterelnöksége idején volt, amikor még sem NATO-, sem EU-tagok nem voltunk. Ami önmagában beszédes.

The government has hailed last year as a spectacular success for the Hungarian economy, and says that the Hungarian economy can expand dynamically on a balanced and sustainable path, with full employment within reach. However, economics professors Ákos Bod Péter and László Csaba say that while there are indeed some economic indicators that, when taken together, look very good when communicated on their own, and it is also true that many Hungarians are performing above their strengths, there are already risks to growth this year. And in the longer term, a balanced and sustainable economic path is more a hope than a well-founded expectation. Hungary's debt rating with the major credit rating agencies is at the level it was at when Gyula Horn was prime minister, when we were neither a member of NATO nor the EU. That in itself is telling.
