Abstract (may include machine translation)

This volume provides an overview of the most important theoretical writings in the history of international anarchism. The texts included here include political philosophy, critical political theory, as well as historical and mobilising-political writings. The editors have developed and summarised their previous collections of texts - in this anthology they have selected writings by world-renowned theorists such as Proudhon, Bakunin, Kropotkin, Tucker, Reclus, Malatesta, Goldman, Berkman, Landauer, Guérin, Bookchin, Wolff, Rothbard - to name only the best known. They offer insights into the world of the Paris Commune, the Russian and Spanish revolutions and the Paris '68 protesters, as well as anarchist conceptions of the state, approaches to the concept of property, anarchist educational principles, development theory and philosophy of science, and the relationship of anarchism to ecological thinking. The authors and the publisher recommend the book to historians, political scientists, philosophers, educators, sociologists, journalists, secondary and university teachers and students, as well as to all open-minded readers interested in a critical analysis of existing systems of domination. They offer texts that are as relevant today, at the beginning of the 21st century, as they were when they were written.
