Aspects of Simulation in Statistical Physics

Research output: Contribution to conference typesPaperpeer-review

Abstract (may include machine translation)

After a summary of basic notions of statistical physics and a few words about random number generators the main simulation techniques are briefly reviewed including the Monte Carlo method, molecular dynamics and cellular automata. Special attention is paid to physics motivated algorithmic advances.
