Description

New initiative to promote gender equality in research
Gender inequality in research institutions remains a challenge in even the most advanced and innovative societies in Europe. It’s also a setback for development and economic innovation. The EU-funded GE Academy project will develop and perform a consistent and high-level capacity-building programme on gender equality (GE) in research and innovation (R&I) and Higher Education (HE). The project will offer a set of comprehensive training schemes and tailor-made training materials for trainers, practitioners and researchers that will be available in Europe and beyond. The programme, including different training schemes, such as webinars, workshops, summer schools and online courses, will be rolled out in at least 15 countries. The GE Academy will assist in reducing gender inequality in research and innovation institutions.
