Project Details
Description
The "Decarbonizing Heat in P-TECC Countries" project, a collaboration between the Central European University (CEU) and Lawrence Berkeley National Lab (LBNL), aims to improve space heating practices with a focus on sustainability and energy efficiency.
CEU's central role includes engaging local stakeholders, characterizing existing building codes and energy practices in Hungary, and evaluating advanced construction and retrofit scenarios using the High Efficiency Buildings (HEB) model. Additionally, CEU will support capacity-building workshops to train local institutions on decarbonization strategies, contributing to the project's goal of developing comprehensive recommendations for sustainable heating solutions.
