Research interests
Zsofia Bocskay is a postdoctoral researcher at the CEU Democracy Institute and a member of the Research Group on De- and Re-Democratization. She earned her PhD in Political Science from Koç University in Istanbul. Her research focuses on political communication and party competition in authoritarian and post-authoritarian contexts. She examines how political actors shape public discourse under conditions of asymmetry and operate within constrained media environments. Methodologically, she combines content analysis, survey approaches, and time-series modeling, often working with original datasets on electoral campaigns and elite rhetoric. Her work has been published in The International Journal of Press/Politics and the Journal of Politics in Latin America.
