Tiziana Centofanti is an environmental scientist specialising in ecological restoration, sustainable resource management, and bio-based solutions to environmental challenges. Her research is deeply rooted in developing nature-based and bio-based strategies to combat environmental degradation. Her work is inherently interdisciplinary, bridging environmental science with social science perspectives on community engagement, policy development, and participatory research.
Her teaching, drawn directly from her research, explores environmental sustainability, global change and health, pollution control, and biotechnological solutions. She aims to help students develop a systems-based understanding of these complex challenges, encouraging them to think critically about the interconnections between environmental processes, technological interventions, and societal impacts.
