Research interests
Rebeca Marques Rocha is currently a Junior Visiting Researcher at the Shattuck Center for Human Rights and a doctoral candidate in the Department of Public Policy at Central European University.
Her research primarily focuses on youth engagement in drug-related responses and the human rights implications of drug policies. Originally from Brazil, Rebeca has extensive experience in drug policy and human rights research.
In 2023, she received the CEU Presidential Scholar Award, which recognizes students whose research holds promise for future generations. Additionally, in 2025, a portion of her doctoral thesis was awarded the Research Award from the Anton Proksch Institute in Vienna.
