Research interests
Marcell Sebők is a cultural historian of the Renaissance and early modern era, and his research and teaching at the Department of Historical Studies cover fields related to the history of science, collections, knowledge production, communication, and networks. He also participates in the teaching of the Cultural Heritage Studies by offering courses on cultural policies and documentary heritages. He is the program director of István Bibó Free University which offers courses and public debates for the Hungarian public on present-day political, environmental, economical or sociological issues in a regional and European context.
