Research interests
Ibolya Schindele is senior lecturer at the Department of Economics and associated researcher at the Financial System Analysis Directorate of the Central Bank of Hungary. Earlier she was Associate Professor at BI Norwegian Business School (2004-2016) and taught Finance in various institutions, including Toulouse Business School, EDHEC Business School, and the University of Vienna. She obtained a Ph.D. in Financial Economics from the University of Amsterdam and an M.A. in Economics from the Central European University. Her main academic research interests are in banking and financial intermediation. Her research has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of International Economics, Review of Finance, Review of Financial Studies, Economics Letters, and the Journal of Banking and Finance. She is Subject Editor of the Journal of Multinational Financial Management.
