Research interests
Bernadett is a research affiliate at CEU Democracy Institute and a Postdoctoral Researcher at CEU’s Department of Public Policy. Her research focuses on the policy impact of social movements, and she currently works on a research and learning project that distills effective anti-authoritarian strategies from around the globe to protect and restore democratic institutions. She draws on her 10 years of civic experience in organizing, activism, and international human rights work. Her goal is to link the worlds of social movements and academia. She is on the board of the European Community Organizing Network (ECON) and a member of the editorial team of the Community Organizing Journal. She earned her PhD in Political Science and Public Policy at CEU. She has an MA in Public Policy from CEU, an MA in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Miskolc, and a BA in Communications from the Budapest Business School.
