Research interests
He is a Senior Research Fellow at ELTE Centre for Economic and Regional Studies and a researcher at Central European University. He holds a PhD in economics from Central European University, and was previously a postdoctoral researcher at University of Padova.
His main research interests include applied microeconomics, political economy, and development economics; he particularly enjoys studying these fields through the lens of historical data. Currently, he focuses on extracting historical data from printed documents at scale using machine learning and AI. He does this as the principal investigator of a Young Researchers' Excellence Grant and as a member of the Globalization and Industrial Policy research group at CEU&LMU.
