The US Governors Populism Database (USGPD) contains quantitative measures of populist rhetoric among state governors in the United States, analyzing 400 speeches from 100 governor terms across all 50 states (pre- and post-Trump's 2016 election). Using holistic grading, speeches were coded on a 0-2 populism scale. This repository includes: - replication_data.csv: Contains populism scores for 100 governor terms - replication_code.R: Script for reproducing all analyses and figures - readme.rtf: File containing detailed instructions for replication and access to speech corpus
