Aim & Background

The course has the following objectives:- to provide the students with a fairly in-depth insight into general theory of regulations (i.e., the growing role of regulations, the related discourse like the regulation-deregulation polemics, the various regulatory techniques, the concept of the regulatory state);- to comparatively review some specific areas of regulatory law (in particular, regulation of debt collection, financial services, data protection and labor relations);- to analyze the impact of public international law and human rights law on business as well as with the possibilities of realizing some business-related rights through constitutional courts.
