Aim & Background

This course explores the historical, psychological, political, and cultural dimensions of Romani life in Europe. It investigates antigypsyism, genocide, self-organization, and resilience through critical theory, psychoanalysis, postcolonial studies, and performance. Romani voices are centered through testimony, text, and art, encouraging ethical reflection and critical engagement with power, trauma, and justice.
