This course challenges that view. We approach photography as an active method of inquiry, a mode of data collection, and a rigorous way to create knowledge. Suitable for any level of previous visual experience, the course connects artistic, documentary practice to academic research. We move beyond 'how to take a picture' to practice 'how to see socially.'
