https://at-ceu.studyguide.timeedit.net/modules/HISU5013?type=COREThe purpose of the MA Thesis Prospectus is to expound in broad terms the relevance, the guiding ideas and the feasibility of the proposed thesis. During the mandatory Prospectus Workshop, students continue planning the thesis that they will submit at the end of their second year. This seminar will introduce students to the requirements necessary to develop a prospectus, due in the Spring term. During the seminar students identify the topic of their advanced project, present the primary materials they plan to work with. They also explore the methods they will employ, the theoretical and disciplinary framing, and the data and evidence, and the secondary literature, they will use. The resulting project description of about 10 pages will be reviewed and discussed among fellow students and the course instructor. Students will have to defend their prospectus in front of their supervisor and second reader and pass the defence in order for them to continue their studies.
