https://at-ceu.studyguide.timeedit.net/modules/UGST4006?type=COREThis is an introductory course in macroeconomics. The course begins with providing a broad picture of the economy from a global and historical perspective on growth, including the measurement of the aggregate economy, the Malthusian and the Solow model, and growth accounting. Next we look at the supply side of the economy, including the determination of unemployment and real wages, as well as policies that can affect them. The course then turns to inspecting the components of aggregate demand and the multiplier model, followed by demand-side policies that can influence inflation and unemployment. Finally, a discussion of credit markets follows, including consumption smoothing, money, and banking.
