Te?gla?s, [email protected](with guest tutors József Fiser and ChristopheHeinz)Teaching assistant:Munther Ahmed This introductory course on Cognitive Science provides a multidisciplinary view on various topics exploring perception, memory, social interactions, reasoning,and decision-making. Consequently, the issues we will examine during the lectures lie at the intersection of several disciplines: philosophy,psychology, linguistics, computer science, neuroscience. By integrating findings from these diverse disciplines, we aim to present and discuss the mostsignificant advancements cognitive science made towards the understanding of human cognition and its fundamental building blocks. Through exploring thenature and structure of mental representations and elucidating the cognitive mechanisms underlying human competence across various domains, we will gainvaluable insights into how the mind works.
