It is a commonplace that new technologies disrupt and transform our everyday lives on almost a daily basis and that laws aiming toregulate them are adopted and implemented by using complex methods. Regulation in this filed is a complex process that not only targets regulatees for a specific regulatory purpose but also monitors their compliance and intervenes whenever and wherever necessary. In the academic context that is inevitably multidisciplinary legal analyses should be accompanied by ethical, sociocultural, and economic scrutiny. Therefore, this course is going to focus on specific applications of new technologies, on court cases related to them, and on the process of developing and implementing regulatory policies on various levels of jurisdiction.
