This course is not designed to provide in-depth competence in any one method, but rather to highlight the strengths and weaknesses of various approaches. The qualitative component of this methods course covers in-depth interviews, content analysis, discourse analysis, and archival research. The quantitative part of this methods course introduces survey research and basic quantitative analysis using Stata.
