Participants will explore a variety of approaches, including simulations, debates, and case studies, and consider how to adapt these methods to their own disciplines. Through hands-on practice and discussion, students will explore some principles behind interactive learning and practice designing and leading interactive teaching activities. Throughout the course, participants will experiment with small-group teaching, scaffolded interactive activities, and classroom facilitation. By the end of the course, they will be able to put interactive strategies into practice and reflect on ways to make learning inclusive, dynamic, and responsive to diverse learners. This course is for doctoral students interested in active learning who want to make their teaching more engaging and participatory.
