    Instructor: Klára Trencsényi, Visiting Professor of PracticePrerequisites: noneMA level course Mandatory elective2 US Credits (4 ECTS)?FRIDAY 8.50-10.30Office hours: Friday TBCFoundations of Visual Practice introduces students to the core principles of visual language and its modes of expression through an integrated approach combining theory and hands-on practice. It provides an understanding of visual perception, the fundamental elements and structure of visual language and practice, and howthese components interact within creative processes. The course thus develops students' modes of expression and empowers them to develop their own visual approach in individual projects. Through lectures, practical exercises and assignments, student presentations and screenings students will develop both conceptual understanding and practicalskills. Each lecture addresses key aspects of visual theory and practice, while workshops offer opportunities for students to apply these ideas in a collaborative, hands-on learning environment.The final project will be a visual project chosen by the students: it can be a photo essay, a blog, a visual presentation of a research project, a short film, or any other approved format that allows students to apply course knowledge to a medium of their choice.
