Aim & Background

This course offers a broad introduction into feminist qualitative research methods. Some of the questions we cover are: What are qualitative methods? What makes a method feminist? What is the difference between method and methodology? What are queer and decolonial approaches to research? What are feminist research ethics and how can we design a project that commits to them?The course is split into 4 parts covering the following themes: Feminist methods and Research, Queer approaches to research, decolonial approaches to research, and engaged research. The course also creates room for a student topic week, where students suggest what further readings or training they would like the course to include.
