((For 2025, the proposed main text is Descartes's Meditations). The course will focus broadly on metaphysics and epistemology, and the way that philosophical problems and debates were shaped by changes in the view of the physical world. Secondarily, we will consider how the philosopher's metaphysical and epistemological views inform how we should live our lives.
