Aim & Background

As international organizations increasingly adopt data science methods in the development and humanitarian sectors, there is a growing need to understand how these tools are applied to monitor and support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This course provides students with an overview of current data-driven applications in this context, fostering a critical understanding of both their potential and their limitations. Through case studies and discussions, students will explore how digital data is shaping the landscape of global development and humanitarian efforts.
